Exhibitions have to be one of the most daunting yet rewarding briefs you can get as a designer. Following the rebrand, exhibition season was swiftly round the corner. How do you stand out in a crowd of competitors? The answer is bring your own props, for the trade shows at least. Working on this scale was astounding in terms of the resources and tools that were available. I was able to approach exhibition design in a completely different way, I would say at times the biggest challenge was limitation on imagery due to the nature of the defence industry.
I helped lead the direction for the use of white space and clean imagery on the stands. Part of the development was condensing information and focusing more on imagery. Fleet solutions was particularly a highlight, it was the first trade show post rebrand so it was essential it made huge impact. The incorporation of fridges, livery and solar panels was odd to design around however it did make me very determined to deliver a great outcome.
